Denmark : Opening the Fredericia Parkour Park

A couple of weeks ago I was chatting to Luke Hurrel and he mentioned that himself and a few other freerunner’s were being flown out to Denmark to celebrate the opening of a new parkour park in the town of Fredericia. The man behind all this was Jakob Jensen who was building the park himself with a few friends and the help from some kind sponsors. After a few brief emails Visive was on the list and before we knew it we were catching a plane out to Denmark.

The main aim of the trip from a filming perspective  was to capture the building of the park, the opening day and the general community humour that comes with any big parkour meet. To keep the youtube subscribers happy but also to provide something for the sponsors to see we have edited two separate videos which are linked at the bottom of this post.

While in Fredericia we were hosted by Jakob at his fathers house and then also at the local youth hostel where all the Traceurs stayed on the night of the opening. There is no denying that some of the nights on that trip were the best I have had in years, from exploring abandoned trains to frankfurter fights there wasn’t a moment not enjoyed. Saying that Luke did dislocate his ankle on sunday afternoon in the gym, but as always Lukes jovial ways weren’t kept down for long.

To finish off this trip has been incredible and its completely the way I want to see Visive moving, travelling around the world with hilarious talented people, filming amazing things and just living life to the full. It hasn’t even been a year yet but my aims are set high and I think myself and Jamie can safely say we intend to keep this ball rolling.
